About the Role
You will audit supplier processes and identify improvements to cost, lead times, and quality. You will resolve SMT and PCBA manufacturing issues, conduct supplier audits, analyze performance metrics, mitigate supply-chain risks, provide technical guidance, and support supplier readiness for new products.
Requirements
- Have hands-on experience with SMT and PCBA
- Know IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001
- Analyze PCBA drawings and critical features on electronic assemblies
- Travel to domestic and international suppliers more than 50% of the time
Responsibilities
- Audit supplier processes to identify cost, lead-time, and quality improvements
- Resolve SMT and PCBA manufacturing defects and process inefficiencies
- Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Ensure adherence to IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001
- Conduct on-site supplier audits
- Assess and improve supplier capabilities
- Provide technical guidance on specifications, manufacturing processes, standards, and quality measures
- Track supplier delivery, quality, and cost metrics
- Identify and mitigate supply-chain risks
- Support supplier readiness for new-product introductions
