About the Role
You will partner with R&D leadership to develop financial models, forecasts, capacity plans, and investment cases. You will use AI and automation to analyze cloud, compute, and AI spending, identify optimization opportunities, and turn R&D performance into clear recommendations for executives and the board.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, business operations, or a related role
- Experience owning complex work from analysis through recommendation and action
- Data-informed financial modeling skills, including driver-based forecasts, investment cases, and capacity models
- Experience analyzing cloud, compute, AI, or usage-based technology costs
- Experience partnering with Engineering, Product, Data, AI, or Infrastructure leaders
- Applied AI fluency for modeling, research, or recurring workflows
- Ability to learn technical systems and translate infrastructure and AI-product scaling into financial insight
Responsibilities
- Build AI-assisted driver-based economic models for AI, cloud, and compute investments
- Identify and support infrastructure-spend optimization opportunities
- Define AI spend strategy and track spend against ROI
- Own R&D planning, forecasting, and headcount capacity models
- Lead investment cases through decision-making and measurement
- Create executive and board narratives about R&D performance
- Rebuild R&D finance workflows using AI, automation, and Pigment
