About the Role
You will architect operational workarounds, resolve complex platform escalations, and improve supportability across compute, networking, storage, and operating systems. You will build diagnostic tooling, lead critical incident response, communicate across secure engineering boundaries, and maintain compliance within secure facilities.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years of systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, support engineering, DevSecOps, or related experience
- Expertise in Linux or Unix internals, networking, debugging, and distributed systems
- Proficiency with Python, Bash, Go, or Java
- Experience operating public or federal cloud infrastructure
- Knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation and Docker or Kubernetes
- 3+ years of technical communications experience
- Ability to work on-site in the McLean secure facility and participate in on-call rotation
Responsibilities
- Design operational workarounds and resolve complex platform escalations
- Bridge communication between core engineering teams and secure environments
- Build diagnostic tools, notebooks, and automated workflows
- Partner with engineering leaders to root-cause defects and improve supportability
- Lead critical incident response and technical communications
- Maintain compliance with federal security frameworks within secure facilities
