About the Role
Own and execute the technical vision for Robinhood Chain, the Tokenization Engine, and Robinhood Wallet. Design, build, and operate backend services, lead complex implementations, improve developer practices with AI tooling, drive reliability and security, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- 10+ years building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production
- Expertise in backend development with Go, Python, or Java and cloud-native architectures
- 3+ years leading large-scale technical initiatives across multiple teams or complex systems
- Strong system design, data modeling, and software engineering fundamentals
- Ability to simplify complex problems, make sound tradeoffs, and drive alignment
- Strong ownership and end-to-end delivery track record
- Experience mentoring and developing engineers
Responsibilities
- Own the technical vision and execution for Robinhood Chain, the Tokenization Engine, and Robinhood Wallet
- Design, build, and operate core backend services
- Write production code and lead complex implementations
- Improve developer practices and adopt AI tooling
- Drive reliability, correctness, observability, and security
- Mentor engineers through design reviews and architecture discussions
