About the Role
You will design, build, and operate a sandboxing platform for untrusted code across Kubernetes clusters. You will develop the Firecracker runtime, optimize performance and latency, write systems code, and own networking, isolation, security boundaries, and suspicious-activity monitoring.
Requirements
- Software engineering and distributed systems experience
- Experience building and operating large-scale infrastructure
- Expertise in Kubernetes, networking, observability, or low-level virtualization
- Fluency in Python or Rust
- Software design skills including testing, CI/CD, and observability
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate the sandboxing platform
- Develop the Firecracker-based sandbox runtime
- Optimize performance and latency for concurrent sandboxes
- Write and review well-tested Rust and Python systems code
- Own cross-cluster networking, security boundaries, isolation, and monitoring
- Turn researcher and ML engineer needs into platform features
