About the Role
You will lead the development and execution of cloud storage strategy. You will define and deliver roadmap features, write and review code and design documentation, and support software qualifications and rollouts from bare metal to user-facing APIs. You will guide architecture and design decisions, mentor engineers, lead engineering initiatives, and benchmark and improve storage scale, performance, and resiliency.
Requirements
- Experience building and operating large-scale, complex distributed cloud computing infrastructure products.
- Knowledge of software engineering practices across the software development life cycle.
- Experience with Java or Go.
- Exposure to Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Terraform.
- Knowledge of Linux systems internals and computer architecture.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering efforts for cloud storage roadmap features.
- Write and review code and design documentation.
- Participate in software qualifications and rollouts from bare metal to user-facing APIs.
- Guide architecture decisions, design processes, reviews, and implementation.
- Mentor and develop engineers.
- Lead engineering initiatives such as tech talks, open-source development, and book clubs.
- Benchmark, analyze, and improve scale, performance, and resiliency.
