About the Role
You will lead complex infrastructure projects from ambiguous beginnings to production. You will partner with research teams, build reliable and scalable systems, make architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and improve operational practices such as incident response, postmortems, and on-call rotations.
Requirements
- Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems or infrastructure
- Experience delivering complex, ambiguous multi-month technical projects
- Technical leadership or engineering mentorship experience
- Experience making architectural decisions
- Proficiency in Python, Rust, Go, Java, or another programming language
- Experience with Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, AWS, or GCP
- Written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Scope and lead complex multi-month infrastructure projects through production
- Partner with researchers to understand and deliver infrastructure needs
- Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar
- Build alignment on technical direction across teams
- Own the reliability, scalability, and security of systems
