You will create map infrastructure, storage formats, geometric query systems, and tools for map creation, ingestion, validation, visualization, and lifecycle management. You will investigate map-related failures, work with customers on requirements and roadmaps, and advise them on simulation and mapping tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Applied Mathematics, or a related engineering field
  • 2+ years of HD mapping experience for autonomous vehicles
  • 3+ years of programming and systems experience
  • C++
  • Python
  • Go
  • JavaScript
  • SQL
  • Linux
  • Git
  • Scalable distributed systems
  • CI/CD
  • Version control
  • Jira
  • Lane-level geometry
  • Routing
  • HD map structures

Responsibilities

  • Manage distributed simulation workflows for large-scale testing of robotic control, planning, and perception systems
  • Architect scalable HD mapping workflows integrated with autonomy stacks
  • Build infrastructure and tools for HD map creation, ingestion, and lifecycle management
  • Define and own the map storage format, including data pipelines, storage, CRUD operations, and SDKs
  • Develop a scalable real-time geometric query system for three-dimensional spatial queries
  • Support tools that digitize road networks and semantic attributes from geospatial inputs
  • Validate map changes for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
  • Troubleshoot map-related simulation and on-road disengagement failures
  • Gather requirements, plan features, and create roadmaps with engineers and customers
  • Advise customers on simulation and mapping tools
