About the Role
You will own the most difficult technical problems end to end and set technical direction for core systems. You will design reliable backend services and data models, handle edge cases, contribute across the client and API layers, improve engineering standards, respond to incidents, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- Staff-level hands-on engineering experience
- Track record of owning production systems end to end
- Deep expertise building backend services with TypeScript and Node.js
- Fullstack capability across client and API layers
- Strong understanding of reliability correctness and data integrity
- Experience taking systems from zero to one and scaling them
- Strong judgment on technical tradeoffs
- Clear communication and clean coding skills
- Ability to lead technical decisions without managing people
- Data-driven decision making
Responsibilities
- Own difficult technical problems end to end

- Handle partial failures retries timeouts reversals and reconciliation gaps
- Contribute to frontend systems and integrations
