About the Role
You will own a core backend system such as Gatekeeper, Data Streaming, Historical APIs, or Account Index. You will design and release performance-sensitive products, profile and benchmark production systems, improve latency and throughput, strengthen observability and incident response, make services easier to operate, contribute to architectural decisions, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience
- Track record of shipping production systems at scale
- Strong systems-level intuition
- Proficiency in Rust, C++, or Go
- Experience debugging and optimizing latency-sensitive or high-throughput systems
- Ability to own problems end-to-end with minimal direction
- Experience with operational excellence, reliability, and customer impact
