About the Role

You will own the technical direction of a core backend system, covering architecture, reliability, performance, and roadmap. You will solve complex problems across distributed systems, storage engines, streaming pipelines, and edge infrastructure, drive performance engineering, establish operational standards, shape long-term technical strategy, mentor engineers, and lead ambiguous cross-system initiatives.

Requirements

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience
• Track record of building large-scale production-grade systems
• Deep systems-level expertise
• Proficiency in Rust, C++, or Go
• Ability to evolve complex systems from architecture through production operations
• Experience leading ambiguous cross-team technical initiatives
• Performance engineering experience
• Experience with operational excellence performance and customer reliability at scale

Responsibilities
