About the Role
You will lead the design and development of mission planning, routing, and human-assisted autonomy for driverless trucks. You will establish the motion-planning roadmap, define metrics and interfaces, integrate driving logic, automate launches and landings, mentor engineers, and solve real-world routing and mission problems.
Requirements
- 6+ years of production-level robotics software development experience
- Modern C++ proficiency
- Expertise in motion planning, graph theory, distributed computing, and related domains
- Experience delivering complex autonomous systems
- Leadership in solving ambiguous, real-world challenges
Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of mission planning, routing, and human-assisted autonomy
- Develop the architecture and long-term motion-planning roadmap
- Identify metrics for product excellence
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to engineers
- Integrate onboard and offboard driving logic
- Collaborate with operations specialists to facilitate safe, efficient missions
- Evaluate driver effectiveness
- Automate and expedite truck launches and landings
- Define interfaces, requirements, and system behavior with cross-functional partners
- Solve route generation, mission update, responsive driving, real-time computing, and cloud-computing problems
