About the Role
You will own architecture for a Fleet Manager domain and build Python automation for device provisioning, burn-in testing, network configuration, and hardware health workflows. You will create reliable event-driven workflows, integrate infrastructure systems, establish engineering standards, operate production services, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- Extensive production experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems
- Strong Python proficiency
- Understanding of event-driven and workflow architecture
- Experience delivering automation systems and operating them in production
- Ability to lead ambiguous technical work across team boundaries
- Experience using AI development tools such as Claude or Cursor
- Excellent communication skills
Responsibilities
- Own architecture for a Fleet Manager domain
- Build Python automation for provisioning, validation, network configuration, and hardware health workflows
- Engineer workflows for idempotency, resumability, checkpointing, retries, replay, and failure handling
- Integrate Fleet Manager with infrastructure management and bare-metal provisioning systems
- Establish shared patterns, libraries, conventions, and operational runbooks
- Operate production services with observability, alerting, and incident response
- Mentor engineers through reviews and implementation guidance
- Use AI tools to accelerate delivery
