About the Role

You will set technical direction for a financial crimes compliance control plane supporting real-time screening, transaction monitoring, auditability, resilience, and vendor integrations. You will own architecture, solve distributed-systems challenges, translate regulatory obligations into engineering plans, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of production backend systems experience
  • Deep expertise in Java or comparable JVM languages
  • Go or Rust experience
  • Architecture experience with complex distributed systems
  • Technical direction experience across teams
  • Resilience and distributed-systems design expertise
  • Failover knowledge
  • Graceful degradation knowledge
  • Idempotency knowledge
  • High-throughput real-time decisioning experience
  • REST and gRPC API design experience
  • Kubernetes knowledge
  • Observability tooling knowledge
  • AWS knowledge
  • FinTech payments identity or compliance technology experience
