About the Role

You will set technical direction for a financial crimes compliance control plane supporting real-time screening, transaction monitoring, auditability, resilience, and vendor integrations. You will own architecture, solve distributed-systems challenges, translate regulatory obligations into engineering plans, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

8+ years of production backend systems experience
Deep expertise in Java or comparable JVM languages
Go or Rust experience
Architecture experience with complex distributed systems
Technical direction experience across teams
Resilience and distributed-systems design expertise
Failover knowledge
Graceful degradation knowledge
Idempotency knowledge
High-throughput real-time decisioning experience
REST and gRPC API design experience
Kubernetes knowledge
