About the Role

You will design, build, and scale Crusoe Cloud’s billing platform. You will own billing systems end to end, covering usage metering, pricing, invoicing, payments, data accuracy, reliability, reconciliation, observability, and customer usage insights. You will collaborate with Finance, Product, Customer Success, and Support while mentoring engineers and influencing architecture.

Requirements

  • Experience building or working on billing, payments, metering, financial systems, or similarly complex high-integrity data systems
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Backend development experience with Go, Java, Rust, or C++
  • Experience designing and operating scalable fault-tolerant distributed systems
  • Familiarity with real-time and batch data processing
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures and financial data modeling
  • Experience with monitoring, alerting, and debugging systems
  • Experience mentoring engineers

Responsibilities

  • Design and operate reliable billing services
  • Build usage metering, pricing, invoicing, and payment systems
  • Develop real-time and batch processing pipelines
  • Build APIs that provide transparent usage and spending insights
  • Implement flexible pricing and billing capabilities
  • Ensure billing data and workflows are accurate, reliable, and auditable
  • Improve observability, reconciliation, and error handling
  • Partner with Finance and Product on pricing models and revenue workflows
  • Mentor engineers and lead design and code reviews
