About the Role
You will set technical direction for major deployment-platform components and own their design, implementation, and production operation. You will build progressive delivery, rollout controls, configuration and feature-flag systems, infrastructure-as-code workflows, artifact distribution, secure deployment controls, and incident-response guardrails.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Rust, Go, C++, Java, or another backend or systems programming language
- Experience leading distributed systems or infrastructure design and operations in production
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and containerized workloads
- Experience with Kubernetes on AWS or GCP
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Set technical direction for deployment-platform components
- Design, implement, and operate deployment systems
- Build progressive delivery, health-gated promotion, pause, and rollback controls
- Design APIs and abstractions for engineers and AI agents
- Extend the platform to new workloads and runtimes
- Build runtime configuration and feature-flag systems
- Build infrastructure-as-code workflows
- Scale artifact and configuration distribution
- Partner on secure production delivery controls
- Support workload adoption across teams
- Participate in on-call and incident response
