About the Role
You will design next-generation database-engine and structured-storage systems. You will clarify requirements, make design decisions, create technical designs and project plans, develop features, mentor junior engineers, and test, monitor, and roll out work to production.
Requirements
- Passion for database systems, storage systems, distributed systems, language design, or performance optimization
- Ability to work toward a multi-year vision with incremental deliverables
- Customer-oriented approach
- 7+ years of experience in a related system
- PhD in databases or distributed systems
