About the Role
Lead the technical direction and scaling roadmap for Crusoe Cloud’s container registry. Drive changes from design through production, optimize latency, throughput, caching, and resource usage, strengthen reliability, influence adjacent teams, respond to incidents, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience
- Experience designing, scaling, and hardening distributed systems
- Experience profiling, benchmarking, and optimizing distributed systems
- Experience owning critical systems from design through production
- Strong fundamentals in microservices and cloud-native infrastructure
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
- Experience with Go, Rust, Java, or C++
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to hiring
- Familiarity with OCI image and distribution specifications
- Experience building container registry products
- Experience with storage or caching systems at scale
Responsibilities
- Set the architecture and scaling roadmap for the container registry
- Drive high-impact changes from design through production
- Develop the system performance strategy
- Optimize latency, throughput, caching, and resource usage
- Raise the team’s technical bar through architecture, design, code review, and mentorship
- Influence designs across adjacent teams
- Lead the technical response when incidents occur
