- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Production-level C++ software development proficiency.
- 7 or more years of experience in software subsystem scheduling and integration, behavior planning, task and resource allocation, motion planning, optimization, or flight controls.
- Experience with version control, issue tracking, code reviews, and release management.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, set technical direction, and manage project lifecycles.
- Ability to mentor junior team members.
- Ability to act as technical owner for an entire software system.
- Experience progressing concepts from research-grade to operationally ready is preferred.
- Mission-systems integration or flight-demonstration experience is preferred.
- Experience with collaborative mission planning, automated tactics, motion planning, target assignment, collision avoidance, geofencing, or safety monitoring is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop tactical autonomy software for unmanned platforms.
- Implement and test multi-agent coordination, target engagement, reconnaissance, and survivability behaviors.
- Perform requirements capture, design, implementation, verification, and validation.
- Develop reusable behaviors across projects and portfolios.
- Architect scalable software subsystems interacting with system components.
- Coordinate delivery of capabilities to vehicle platforms.
- Align interface requirements with external and vehicle integration teams.
- Represent software engineering in multi-stakeholder environments.
- Travel to co-locate with end users or other teams up to 20% of the time.
