About the Role
Lead the technical strategy and execution of core developer infrastructure, including build systems, CI pipelines, source control management, and remote development environments. Build scalable systems, improve developer onboarding, standardize build and CI patterns, and mentor engineers through design reviews and operational guidance.
Requirements
- Extensive experience designing, scaling, and operating critical developer infrastructure or high-volume build/CI systems in production.
- Deep expertise in modern build systems such as Bazel and distributed or remote build execution.
- Strong programming proficiency in Go or Python and experience building reliable system software.
- Ability to guide complex technical initiatives from conception to completion.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Architect the long-term technical strategy and roadmap for core developer infrastructure, including CI, SCM, and development environments.
- Build and maintain robust, scalable infrastructure capable of handling increasing operational loads.
- Lead developer onboarding and development environment strategy to reduce time-to-first-commit.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to standardize build and CI patterns and eliminate developer friction.
- Provide technical mentorship, conduct design reviews, and establish operational guidelines.
