About the Role
Ripple's Staff Security Engineer will collaborate with Finance, Product, Engineering, leadership, and Information Security teams to protect digital assets. The role focuses on designing, implementing, documenting, and optimizing security processes, conducting risk assessments, communicating security posture, educating teams, and advising on methodologies, tooling, and vendor integrations.
Requirements
- 8+ years of information security experience securing digital assets, with knowledge of crypto, blockchain, Web3, and smart contracts.
- Strong knowledge of key management solutions, cryptography, and cryptographic key lifecycle best practices.
- Hands-on experience with software, hardware, MPC, and/or MultiSig digital asset wallets and secure offline laptop solutions.
- Experience handling sensitive work discreetly and professionally and serving as a trusted digital asset security advisor.
- Clear communication and writing skills, including translating complex security and compliance topics into functional requirements.
- Ability to operate with ambiguity and complexity while prioritizing multiple assignments.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, document, and manage processes to catalogue and secure digital assets.
- Drive security risk assessments of digital asset safeguards and identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with Information Security and cross-functional partners to implement security improvements.
- Develop methods to measure, supervise, and communicate security posture to key partners.
- Educate individuals and teams on digital asset security best practices.
- Advise on digital asset security methodologies, tooling decisions, and vendor integrations.
