About the Role

You will lead the design direction for complex, high-priority areas of the Kraken app. You will turn ambiguous problems into clear, scalable user experiences; evolve the design system and visual language; influence product strategy and roadmap decisions; and use customer insights, data, and experimentation to improve outcomes. You will also drive cross-functional alignment, mentor designers, lead critiques, and advocate for high standards of craft and user experience.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product design experience with a portfolio demonstrating exceptional craft and impact, particularly in mobile app experiences.
  • Ability to lead design direction for large, complex product areas and deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Strong UX and visual design skills.
  • Advanced prototyping skills.
  • Experience influencing product strategy and cross-functional decision-making.
  • Systems thinking and experience with design systems at scale.
  • Ability to mentor designers through feedback, collaboration, and example.
  • Data-informed decision-making that balances user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
  • Understanding of human-centered design principles and research methods.
