About the Role
You will lead software quality for the planner architecture, build fault-tolerant systems, and resolve performance bottlenecks to support safe vehicle operation. You will bridge motion-planning and onboard software work, develop planning algorithms, and manage experimentation for research and data generation.
Requirements
- MS or PhD, or a Bachelor degree with at least 6 years of industry experience in computer science, robotics, or a similar technical field
- Experience owning software on a shipped product with reliability requirements
- Software engineering principles, including code review, unit testing, scalability, maintainability, software architecture, and full lifecycle development
- Planning and decision-making approaches, including optimal control, optimization, search methods, and probabilistic decision-making
- Production-quality Python or C++ coding skills

- Lead software quality for the planner architecture
- Build fault-tolerant systems and resolve performance bottlenecks
- Bridge motion-planning and onboard software work
- Design and develop motion-planning software and algorithms
- Manage the experimentation pipeline for research and data generation
