About the Role
You will develop and maintain Python-based photonic PDK component libraries. You will create compact device models, automate simulation parameter extraction, correlate models with lab measurements, and implement verification workflows for layout, netlist, and connectivity accuracy.
Requirements
- Master’s degree and 5+ years of experience or PhD and 3+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, or a related field
- Photonic device physics
- Device simulation
- Behavioral modeling for circuit simulators
- Python modeling, automation, and data analysis
- Object-oriented programming
- NumPy
- SciPy
- Python-based layout experience
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python-based PCell libraries
- Synchronize physical layouts, logical netlists, and behavioral models
- Create and verify compact models for active and passive devices
- Build workflows to extract electromagnetic-solver parameters for circuit simulation
- Validate simulation models against lab measurements
- Perform data fitting and statistical analysis
- Implement regression testing and CI pipelines
- Own netlist-extraction and connectivity logic
