About the Role

You will lead mechanical development for a mobile robot product line from concept through end-of-life. You will design assemblies, create CAD models and BOMs, optimize products for manufacturing, work with contract manufacturers, resolve production issues, manage engineering changes, and develop fixtures and tooling.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline
• At least 8 years of mechanical engineering experience
• At least 2 years of experience in robotics, automation, automotive, aerospace, or electromechanical systems
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD tools
• Experience with PDM or PLM systems
• Experience supporting contract manufacturers, DFM reviews, ECNs, and production issue resolution
• Experience designing jigs, fixtures, tooling, or manufacturing support equipment
• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, sheet metal, machining, injection molding, and die casting
• Willingness to travel up to 25%
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models, drawings, and BOMs
• Apply DFM and DFA principles
• Support contract manufacturers and resolve production issues
• Lead design reviews and engineering changes
• Design assembly jigs, production fixtures, and tooling
• Support PPAP, FAI, and production ramp activities
• Travel up to 25% as required
