About the Role
You will set the technical direction for an HPC systems domain and make architectural decisions across Slurm-based services. You will establish shared automation and lifecycle patterns, lead cross-team integrations, create reusable implementations, and resolve complex technical issues. You will guide critical initiatives across multiple teams.
Requirements
- Extensive experience building production HPC software and automation
- Experience with Slurm-based environments
- Proficiency building maintainable and resilient software in Go or Python
- Understanding of Slurm internals, scheduling, cluster lifecycle, and operational trade-offs
- Experience with GPU infrastructure and HPC networking
- Knowledge of InfiniBand, RoCE, and RDMA
- Experience integrating HPC systems with cloud-native platforms or APIs
- Experience establishing reusable standards and tooling
- Strong written and verbal communication
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve technical direction for an HPC systems domain
- Make architecture decisions for Slurm-based capabilities
- Define service packaging and automation approaches
- Establish shared standards for lifecycle management, observability, reliability, and supportability
- Drive integrations across Slurm, infrastructure APIs, identity systems, and platform tooling
- Create reusable automation, deployment patterns, and reference implementations
- Lead critical initiatives across two to four teams
- Resolve complex technical design problems
