About the Role
You will analyze and optimize performance across application, middleware, runtime, and infrastructure layers. You will develop observability tooling and metrics, investigate production regressions, influence architecture, improve latency and throughput, and define performance-testing strategies and service objectives.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with high-scale distributed-system performance or reliability
- Experience with performance profiling and tracing systems
- Experience optimizing database, networking, storage, runtime, Python, Golang, or GPU performance
- Understanding of operating-system internals, scheduling, memory management, and IO patterns
- Experience with observability, benchmarking, or performance infrastructure at scale
Responsibilities
- Analyze and optimize performance across application, middleware, runtime, and infrastructure layers
- Develop performance observability tooling and metrics
- Collaborate on performance goals and systemic improvements
- Influence architecture and design decisions for latency, throughput, and efficiency
- Lead investigations into production performance regressions and scalability issues
- Drive performance testing strategies and define latency and throughput SLAs and SLOs
