About the Role
You will own and maintain the V-BAT reliability model and fault tree. You will use field, industry, and test data to predict failures, guide design decisions, lead investigations and reliability testing, and communicate reliability metrics and risks to program leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- 5+ years of reliability or surety engineering experience in a high-consequence industry.
- Expertise in Fault Tree Analysis, Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis, and Mean Time Between Failure calculations.
- Ability to build reliability models from field and test data and translate them into design and production decisions.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the V-BAT system reliability model using field and industry failure-rate data.
- Create and maintain the system fault tree and quantify single points of failure.
- Provide Design-for-Reliability guidance during design reviews.
- Partner on root-cause investigations and drive corrective and preventive actions to closure.
- Lead production and sustainment reliability test campaigns.
- Drive reliability screening campaigns, including HASS and ESS.
- Establish, track, and communicate MTBF, failure-rate, and reliability-growth metrics.
