About the Role
You will serve as the mission-systems subject matter expert for fleet support. You will investigate payload, transponder, and external-interface issues; work with customers and engineering teams to define corrective actions; support validation and field demonstrations; and create technical guidance and troubleshooting documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in payload integration, sensor integration, mission systems, avionics integration, or aircraft systems engineering
- Experience troubleshooting systems spanning hardware, software, networking, and operational workflows
- Experience across design, integration, test, and field-support environments
- Written and verbal communication skills in customer-facing technical settings
Responsibilities
- Lead escalated investigations involving payloads, transponders, and externally connected mission systems
- Diagnose payload integration and performance issues
- Troubleshoot mission-data outputs, external interfaces, and system connectivity issues
- Identify support risks, validation needs, and integration challenges for emerging technologies
- Work with customers, operators, and maintainers to reproduce issues and define corrective actions
- Partner with electrical, software, and RF teams on mission-system problems
- Support lab validation, hardware integration, test readiness, and field demonstrations
- Create technical guidance, interface notes, troubleshooting procedures, and customer-facing documentation
- Capture recurring issues and provide lessons learned to product, systems, and design teams
