About the Role
You will design electro-mechanical solutions for high-voltage power electronics, interconnects, thermal management, and aircraft integration. You will analyze environmental survivability, ensure compliance, own designs through validation, and collaborate on board design and packaging.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Experience using CAD software for 3D modeling, drawings, and system layout
- Familiarity with Altium, Cadence, Allegro, Capital, or Zuken
- Experience collaborating with electrical engineers on PCB constraints and mechanical interfaces
- Familiarity with PCB layout processes and manufacturing methods
- Experience with FEA, thermal analysis, and fatigue or lifecycle testing
- Ability to work in an agile environment with evolving priorities
Responsibilities
- Design electro-mechanical solutions for high-voltage power electronics packaging, interconnects, thermal management, and aircraft integration
- Execute structural, thermal, vibration, clearance, and PCBA hardening analyses
- Ensure avionics comply with performance, safety, environmental, and EMI/EMC standards
- Own designs from concept through implementation, verification, and validation
- Collaborate with electrical engineers and PCB designers on board design and packaging
