About the Role

You will own the mechanical design and integration of aircraft actuated systems from concept through production-ready hardware. You will create CAD models and drawings, analyze installations, resolve vehicle interfaces, support suppliers and prototype builds, and execute qualification testing.

Requirements

  • 5 to 12 years of mechanical systems design experience in aerospace or a comparable regulated industry.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Mechanical design, kinematics, load paths, materials selection, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up expertise.
  • Hand-calculation and basic FEA capability.
  • 3D CAD modeling, mechanical layouts, drawing release, and PLM workflow experience.
  • Actuator and mechanism installation experience.
  • COTS and custom aerospace component sourcing, supplier management, and test-setup experience.
  • Eligibility for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop system layouts and installation concepts for actuators, mechanisms, linkages, brackets, and hardware.
  • Own detailed CAD design from concept through drawing release.
  • Perform actuator sizing, kinematic layouts, installation analyses, hand calculations, and basic FEA.
  • Define and resolve interfaces with structures, EWIS, EPS, thermal management, and adjacent systems.
  • Develop CAD models, drawings, interface definitions, and design data packages.
