Required and preferred rules are kept separate and reflect the wording in the original posting.

About the Role

You'll work within a fast-paced engineering team on the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of the blockchain infrastructure that powers a developer platform used globally. You'll operate systems for running blockchain RPC nodes at scale across many chains and regions, keeping a highly available live system running for customers. You'll deploy and maintain nodes, manage Kubernetes clusters, perform upgrades and hard fork migrations, participate in on-call rotations, build automation tooling, and collaborate cross-functionally on capacity planning and SLO reporting.

Requirements

  • Experience designing and operating large-scale, multi-region, multi-cloud production systems.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, including StatefulSets, storage management, Secrets, and service mesh.
  • Experience with secrets management and access control in multi-cluster environments.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks for node health checks, upgrades, and remediation.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, CloudFormation, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Experience with GitOps tooling including ArgoCD and Helm.
  • Proficiency with cloud infrastructure and bare-metal management, including storage provisioning and snapshots.
  • Strong grasp of Grafana, Prometheus, and Alertmanager observability tooling.
  • Comfort working in an on-call environment and triaging production incidents.
  • Ability to write technical documentation and postmortems and contribute to async-first communication.
  • Experience with networking and VPC networks.
  • Basic understanding of security best practices.
  • Passion for blockchain technologies and Web3.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, operate, and maintain blockchain RPC nodes across multiple chains and geographic regions.
  • Manage Kubernetes clusters underlying the blockchain node platform.
  • Perform rolling upgrades and hard fork migrations for blockchain clients across EVM and non-EVM chains.
  • Operate on-call rotations, triage live incidents via PagerDuty, and coordinate resolution across teams.
  • Develop and maintain AI agents and automation tooling for health checks, auto-heal, and hard fork notifications.
  • Deploy and manage services via ArgoCD and GitOps workflows using Helm charts.
  • Manage bare-metal and cloud infrastructure, including provisioning, benchmarking, and hardware replacement.
  • Respond to security advisories and coordinate upgrades with minimal downtime.
  • Contribute to postmortems and async review processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on chain deprecations, capacity planning, and SLO reporting.

Benefits

  • Flexible time away
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Internal off-site hackathons
  • Access to a company-rented hacker house during summer
  • Opportunity to travel across offices
  • Attractive salary package
  • Opportunity to work with the latest cloud and blockchain technologies
