About the Role

You will provide high-touch technical support and tailored solutions for strategic customers. You will troubleshoot Spark, SQL, Delta, Streaming, and runtime issues; build and monitor proof-of-concept solutions; create playbooks; train customer teams; and collaborate with Field Engineering, Sales, Product, R&D, and NOC teams.

Requirements

  • 10+ years designing, building, and troubleshooting distributed computing applications
  • 4+ years delivering production-scale Spark, ML, or AI solutions
  • Python, Java, or Scala
  • Data Lakes, SQL databases, and cloud data warehousing or ETL tools
  • Spark core internals, Delta or Iceberg, JVM optimisation, and memory management
  • Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Generative AI
  • AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • CI/CD, monitoring, and alerting systems
  • 3–5 years in a customer-facing technical role
  • Communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for Spark, SQL, Delta, Streaming, and runtime issues
  • Discover requirements for continuous performance monitoring
  • Build, test, deploy, and monitor proof-of-concept solutions
  • Develop playbooks and maintain a knowledge base for Spark, ML, and AI workflows
  • Train customer teams on performance tuning, debugging, and Databricks features
  • Pilot best-practice programs and improve processes
  • Advocate for customers and act as a primary technical contact
  • Collaborate onsite with Field Engineering, Sales, and Product during customer engagements
