About the Role

Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs serving high request volumes with low latency. Optimize Postgres queries, profile and trace code paths, operate highly available AWS infrastructure, collaborate with product, and build features including feeds, discovery, trading metrics, trade comments, and protocol indexers.

Requirements

  • Deep experience with Node.js and TypeScript
  • Experience with Postgres and query optimization
  • Experience with Redis
  • Experience operating services on AWS
  • Experience designing and building programmatic APIs and REST services
  • 5+ years at tech startups with large-scale user traffic
  • Experience maintaining highly available infrastructure

Responsibilities

  • Build clean, maintainable, and well-tested backend code
  • Design backend REST APIs for usability and scale
  • Collaborate with product to define, prioritize, and build features
  • Optimize Postgres queries and database performance
  • Profile and trace code paths to identify and remove bottlenecks
  • Operate and optimize AWS infrastructure for high availability
  • Serve high-throughput, low-latency APIs summarizing onchain and offchain data
