About the Role
You will set the technical direction for learned scene estimation and build perception systems that fuse sensor data. You will improve multi-target tracking, create algorithms and evaluation tooling, lead technical reviews and mentorship, and partner across autonomy disciplines to improve safety and reliability.
Requirements
- BS or MS with at least 8 years of industry experience, or PhD with at least 5 years of experience, building and deploying state-estimation and sensor-fusion systems
- Expertise in sensor fusion, state estimation, Kalman filtering, particle filtering, and multi-object tracking
- Experience with deep learning and learned scene estimation
- Exceptional C++ skills
- Experience writing maintainable production-quality code for high-reliability systems
- Ability to define metrics, design rigorous evaluations, and make data-driven engineering decisions
- Technical leadership experience
- Written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Define and lead the technical direction for learned scene estimation
- Architect and implement multimodal sensor-fusion approaches
- Lead improvements to multi-target tracking
- Develop algorithms for noisy and incomplete measurements
- Build tooling, metrics, and visualization infrastructure
- Set technical standards through design reviews, code reviews, and mentorship
- Partner across autonomy disciplines to improve system safety and reliability
