About the Role

You will own and evolve Android architecture, modular boundaries, and native engineering patterns. You will turn complex product and platform problems into durable production architecture, improve testing, releases, observability, and rollouts, and define mobile-facing system contracts with iOS, backend, product, and design. You will establish reusable standards that strengthen engineering judgment and improve reliable native experiences.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in modern production Android architecture
• Ability to shape cross-functional architecture decisions with iOS, backend, web, and product stakeholders
• Experience shaping mobile-facing platform contracts, API behavior, or backend service boundaries
• Ability to read, debug, and make targeted backend contributions
• Experience shaping AI-enabled engineering systems for validation, quality, and delivery confidence
• Experience raising reliability and release-quality standards for production mobile systems
• Ability to create clear standards and reusable patterns for engineers
• Product judgment and communication skills
• Experience with varied Android device and form-factor contexts such as foldables, wearables, or Android Auto
• Experience with enterprise mobile environments, including identity, device management, compliance, security, MDM, or EMM
• Experience with mobile design systems and design-to-code workflows

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve Android architecture, modular boundaries, and native engineering patterns
• Lead hands-on Android system design for complex product and platform problems
• Improve Android reliability and delivery confidence through testing, automation, observability, rollout practices, and AI-enabled validation
• Create clear mobile-facing system contracts with iOS, backend, product, and design
• Establish reusable mobile-system standards and strengthen engineering judgment across teams
