About the Role
Lead the design, development, and evolution of Bitdeer's next-generation public cloud platform across CPU, GPU, RDS, storage, networking, serverless, and AI services. Own end-to-end architecture for the NeoCloud SRE platform, spanning bounded contexts, frameworks, operational tiers, and a multi-region GPU rental fleet.
Requirements
- 10+ years of production SRE, platform-engineering, or infrastructure-architecture experience, including 3+ years at architect level.
- Hands-on GPU and AI-compute infrastructure experience with NVIDIA GPU operations, InfiniBand or RoCE, and HPC storage.
- Multi-region observability experience including metrics, logs, traces, profiles, analytics lakes, burn-rate alerting, and SLI/SLO discipline.
- Kubernetes experience with GPU Operator and topology-aware scheduling, plus experience with Slurm, Volcano, Kueue, Ray, or KubeRay.
- Data-center operations experience with ZTP, BMC/IPMI/Redfish, BIOS and firmware lifecycle, RMA, and multi-vendor OEM management.
- Strong domain-driven design experience with bounded contexts, public contracts, and one-context-one-repo discipline.
- Experience designing or substantially contributing to a plugin framework with a uniform manifest and lifecycle.
- Ability to author and maintain large architecture documents and executive one-pagers.
- Experience with design reviews, runbook authorship, on-call shadowing, and post-mortem facilitation.
- Hyperscale or NeoCloud experience.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or a similar field.
Responsibilities
- Write and maintain the platform architecture document across frameworks and operational tiers.
- Review framework-level changes including bounded contexts, plugins, schemas, naming, deployments, and cross-context contracts.
- Set design invariants for residency, self-sufficiency, survival-uplink contracts, naming, SLOs, and redaction.
- Run and evolve the uniform plugin framework contract.
- Decide tier placement across Edge DC, Regional Controller, and Global Hub.
- Coordinate with cloud-service teams, tenants, and Security on platform contracts and operations.
- Pre-flight roadmap items with one-page designs aligned to the layered model and extension contracts.
- Defend the architecture under review and reject scope creep and one-off integrations.
