About the Role
Build small, robust, security-focused hardware products that Bitcoiners trust with real money. Own embedded firmware delivery for new hardware products and revisions, work closely with hardware and manufacturing realities, build reliable user-facing firmware for small-screen security devices, debug across firmware, hardware, tooling, and manufacturing, and make practical UX and engineering tradeoffs.
Requirements
- Senior-level embedded experience with 10+ years or equivalent.
- Strong ownership and commitment to robustness and reliability.
- Experience with MicroPython, C, ARM, and ESP32.
- Experience with I2C, SPI, and RS-232.
- Experience with Wi-Fi, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and websockets.
Responsibilities
- Own embedded firmware delivery for new hardware products and revisions.
- Work with hardware, datasheets, peripherals, displays, buttons, NFC/radio modules, power systems, and manufacturing requirements.
- Build reliable user-facing firmware for small-screen security devices.
- Debug across firmware, hardware, tooling, and manufacturing.
- Make practical UX and engineering tradeoffs with the team.
- Take ownership from initial concept through firmware, board bring-up, debugging, manufacturing support, and shipping.
