About the Role
You will design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and maintain reliable software and services for mission systems. You will translate requirements into technical architectures, resolve defects and performance issues, apply secure development practices, and collaborate across engineering disciplines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 4 years of relevant experience, master's degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or 8 years of software engineering experience in lieu of a degree
- 4 to 10 years of professional software development experience
- Experience with a modern programming language such as C++, Python, Java, C#, or Rust
- Knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, version control, debugging, testing, and software design patterns
- Experience developing and integrating software for complex technical systems
- Experience with Git, automated testing, CI/CD, issue tracking, code review, and build or deployment automation
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance if required
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required export authorization
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, and maintain mission-critical software applications and services
- Translate mission, system, and software requirements into software architectures, designs, interfaces, and technical solutions
- Develop software using modern programming languages
- Develop and execute unit, integration, system, and automated tests
- Troubleshoot defects and performance issues
- Collaborate with engineering disciplines to integrate software into mission systems
- Support deployment, configuration management, CI/CD, and DevSecOps practices
- Participate in architecture and design reviews, planning, code reviews, risk assessments, and documentation
- Apply secure software development, reliability, performance, and cybersecurity principles
