About the Role
You will design, implement, and maintain robust, scalable software systems for production automation. You will build libraries, services, and software integrations for motion planning, control, perception, vision, and sensors. You will optimize performance and reliability, write testable Python, establish engineering practices, and build simulation and testing infrastructure.
Requirements
- B.S. in Computer Science or a related engineering field
- Strong software engineering experience, especially in Python
- Experience designing and maintaining complex software systems
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and systems design
- Proficiency with Git, debugging, testing frameworks, and modern development workflows
- Must be a U.S. Person, including a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, due to ITAR export controls
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust, scalable software systems for production automation
- Build core libraries and services for motion planning, control, and perception pipelines
- Architect interfaces between software components and hardware-facing systems
- Develop vision and sensor-integration software for planning and control stacks
- Optimize software for performance, reliability, and deterministic behavior
- Write high-quality, testable Python code
- Own code reviews, testing strategies, CI/CD, and release processes
- Build simulation, testing, and tooling infrastructure before deployment
- Translate system requirements into software abstractions with robotics, controls, and hardware engineers
- Contribute to software-platform architectural decisions
