About the Role

You will design, build, and own software for processing, managing, distributing, analyzing, and visualizing geospatial data, especially SAR imagery. You will create data pipelines, backend services, databases, APIs, and production integrations while contributing to testing, optimization, documentation, and delivery.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 or more years of professional software development experience, or master's degree with 3 or more years
  • Academic background or foundational training in physics
  • Strong Python programming skills
  • Experience developing software in Linux environments
  • Experience with version control, debugging tools, and collaborative development workflows
  • Demonstrated ability to independently propose, prototype, implement, and integrate software solutions
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required export authorization

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and own geospatial data-processing, management, and distribution systems
  • Build scalable data pipelines and backend services
  • Develop geospatial visualization, analysis, and data-distribution tools
  • Design database architectures, schemas, and data models
  • Contribute to system architecture, service design, data pipelines, and infrastructure
  • Integrate geospatial services and APIs into operational software systems
  • Translate research capabilities into production software with algorithm developers and data scientists
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, performance optimization, and integration
  • Contribute to documentation, configuration management, and software delivery processes
