About the Role
You will own storage infrastructure from architecture to production, build secure and highly available storage systems, write design documents and tested code, prioritize impactful roadmap work, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience
- BA/BS in computer science or a related degree
- Experience with infrastructure for distributed systems or cloud-native applications
- Experience with storage systems, databases, object stores, or distributed file systems
- Coding skills in Go, Python, Java, or C++
- Familiarity with cloud-native development practices in GCP, AWS, or Azure
Responsibilities
- Own infrastructure problems from architecture through production launch
- Build and evolve storage systems
- Deliver uptime guarantees, autoscaling, alerting, and monitoring
- Abstract cloud differences and build self-healing systems
- Write design documents and high-quality tested code
- Identify and prioritize impactful roadmap projects
- Mentor junior engineers
