About the Role
You will own key parts of an internal research platform, including evaluation and training libraries, experiment tracking, and visualization tools. You will build end-to-end systems across backend services, data pipelines, and user-facing applications. You will identify research bottlenecks and deliver reproducible, observable, high-quality tooling.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science, engineering, machine learning, or a related field.
- Two years of post-graduate software engineering or ML engineering experience, excluding internships.
- Software engineering fundamentals and experience building reliable, maintainable systems.
- Proficiency in a backend programming language.
- Experience with databases, data warehouses, caching systems, and data infrastructure.
- Ability to work across the stack and own projects through deployment and operation.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners and subject-matter experts.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain research infrastructure, including evaluation frameworks, training systems, experiment tracking platforms, and visualization tools.
- Deliver end-to-end tools across backend systems, data pipelines, and user-facing applications.
- Partner with researchers to identify bottlenecks and unlock capabilities.
- Gather feedback, set priorities, and measure tooling adoption.
- Build reproducibility, traceability, quality-control, monitoring, and observability systems for experiments and training runs.
