About the Role
You will develop, test, and ship C++ and Python software features, tools, and tests. You will build embedded real-time firmware, validate software using simulations and bench testing, investigate failures, work with sensor data, and document repeatable workflows.
Requirements
- Currently pursue a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field and graduate between December 2026 and August 2027
- Demonstrate proficiency in C++ and/or Python
- Demonstrate a solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software fundamentals
- Own well-scoped tasks with limited guidance and communicate progress clearly
- Work in person full time
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and ship C++ and/or Python features, tools, and tests
- Write embedded C/C++ firmware for real-time UAV control software
- Develop Python tests, reporters, and tooling to validate software behavior and performance
- Develop and evaluate autonomy software across planning, coordination, decision-making, integration, and perception
- Build unit and integration tests and analyze simulation or bench results
- Investigate failures using logs, telemetry, traces, and debugging tools
- Support software integration across autonomy, vehicle, sensor, perception, mission-compute, and command-and-control systems
- Work with real and simulated sensor data
- Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers on software requirements
- Write setup, interface, configuration, test, and findings documentation
