About the Role
Lead global software engineering and execute high-impact product and platform initiatives while providing architectural and organizational guidance, developing engineering leaders, and optimizing development workflows and technical decision-making.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years in engineering leadership roles
- Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional engineering teams in complex, high-growth environments
- Expertise in modern architectures, cloud infrastructure, and microservices
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies, CI/CD practices, and engineering metrics
- Experience managing distributed teams and scaling organizations across multiple geographies
- Communication and stakeholder management skills
- Decision-making and problem-solving ability in high-stakes environments
- Fluent written and verbal English
- Willingness and ability to relocate to Baku, Azerbaijan
Responsibilities
- Define and execute engineering strategy aligned with company objectives
- Provide architectural and organizational guidance for long-term scalability and success
- Lead, mentor, and develop multiple engineering teams, including team leads and senior developers
- Establish clear goals and create growth opportunities across a global, distributed team
- Ensure high-quality, timely delivery of product and platform initiatives
- Optimize workflows, development methodologies, and technical decision-making
- Guide the evolution of system architecture for scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Champion modern technologies and development practices
- Align priorities, technical requirements, and a shared roadmap with Product, QA, DevOps, and executive stakeholders
- Identify and mitigate risks across the development lifecycle
- Promote best practices in observability, security, testing, and release management
- Foster a high-performance culture grounded in transparency, continuous improvement, quality, and innovation
