About the Role
You will help launch the first PCB assembly facility and own SMT manufacturing readiness from setup through volume production. You will select, qualify, program, and optimize equipment; establish tooling and standards; support builds; train operators; guide an engineering technician; and improve yield, throughput, and equipment effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience
- 10+ years of SMT manufacturing engineering experience
- Experience with SMT line installation, commissioning, or factory startup
- Experience with equipment acceptance testing, qualification, and production ramp-up
- Hands-on experience programming and optimizing SMT equipment
- Experience supporting PCBA manufacturing from prototype through high-volume production
Responsibilities
- Support SMT equipment selection, installation, and acceptance
- Develop and execute equipment startup, validation, and qualification plans
- Program and optimize SMT equipment
- Maintain component libraries, machine databases, and setup procedures
- Define, procure, and qualify production tooling
- Lead SMT support for prototype through production builds
- Create operating procedures, work instructions, and process controls
- Train operators and technicians
- Guide the SMT Engineering Technician's work
- Improve first-pass yield, throughput, OEE, setup time, and changeover time
