About the Role
You will run daily SMT-line operations from receiving through finished modules. You will lead production staff, manage shifts and contractors, schedule builds, oversee material flow and inspection, establish training and operating processes, report manufacturing performance, and scale line capacity while improving throughput and yield.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or comparable experience
- At least five years of electronics manufacturing experience in PCBA or SMT
- At least two years leading production teams
- Hands-on SMT-line operations experience
- Experience managing employees and contractors across shifts
- Knowledge of SPI, AOI, X-ray, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and MSD handling
- Experience building processes, training programs, and metrics
- Willingness to learn agentic AI models
Responsibilities
- Operate the SMT line for NPI and mass production
- Hire, lead, and develop the operations team
- Manage shift schedules, coverage, contractors, and cross-training
- Build training and certification programs
- Create daily and weekly build schedules and coordinate changeovers
- Manage material flow, inventory, traceability, and finished goods
- Run inspection, test, and rework operations
- Define work instructions, handoffs, safety, ESD, and 5S processes
- Report line status, yield, scrap, schedule attainment, and inventory health
- Support future SMT-line launches and manufacturing automation
