About the Role
You will own workforce governance, employment compliance, and regulatory risk programs across the People organization. You will design and operate compliance frameworks, manage I-9 and E-Verify programs, oversee screening and testing processes, coordinate regulatory filings, support privacy and responsible AI governance, maintain audit readiness, and track remediation across workforce programs.
Requirements
- 7+ years of workforce compliance, employment compliance, or HR compliance operations experience
- Direct ownership of I-9/E-Verify, background screening, or drug testing programs
- Working knowledge of FCRA, E-Verify regulations, FLSA classification, and employment law
- Experience managing compliance programs in multi-state environments
- Hands-on audit experience
- Familiarity with contingent workforce compliance and worker classification risks
- Experience managing compliance vendors
- Knowledge of CCPA, GDPR, and state-level employee data privacy requirements
- Familiarity with AI governance in HR contexts
- Strong cross-functional partnership skills
Responsibilities
- Maintain workforce classification standards and decision frameworks
- Conduct compliance audits and drive remediation
- Own the I-9 and E-Verify program
- Oversee background screening and adverse action processes
- Manage drug and alcohol testing program administration
- Monitor customer and contractual workforce compliance
- Coordinate employment compliance filings and obligations
- Maintain leave law compliance frameworks
- Support pay equity, wage and hour, and compensation compliance oversight
- Govern employee data privacy, records, and retention practices
- Establish responsible AI governance standards for People programs
- Manage audit readiness, risk registers, mitigation strategies, and executive reporting
- Configure compliance workflows and controls in People systems
