About the Role
You will own and improve the global travel program, including the Navan platform, vendor relationships, policy governance, and employee travel experience. You will coordinate with Finance, People, IT, and Procurement, report program performance, improve processes, manage training, analyze satisfaction data, and maintain travel documentation and communications.
Requirements
- 7+ years in workforce compliance, employment compliance, or HR compliance operations
- Direct ownership of I-9/E-Verify, background screening, or drug testing programs
- Knowledge of FCRA, E-Verify regulations, FLSA classification, and federal and state employment law
- Experience managing compliance programs in multi-state environments
- Hands-on audit experience
- Knowledge of contingent workforce compliance and worker classification risks
- Experience managing compliance vendors
- Knowledge of CCPA, GDPR, and state-level employee data privacy laws
- Familiarity with AI governance in HR contexts
- Ability to partner cross-functionally with Legal
Responsibilities
- Maintain standards and decision frameworks for worker classification
- Conduct workforce classification audits and drive remediation
- Own the I-9 and E-Verify program
- Manage background screening and adverse action governance
- Administer drug and alcohol testing programs
- Monitor contractual workforce compliance obligations
- Coordinate employment compliance filings
- Monitor employment law developments and translate changes into workflows
- Maintain leave law compliance frameworks
- Support pay equity, wage and hour, and compensation compliance governance
- Maintain employee data privacy and records governance standards
- Establish responsible AI governance standards for People programs
- Manage audit readiness and the People compliance risk register
- Configure compliance workflows, approvals, and controls in People systems
