About the Role
You will lead the technical direction, roadmap, and delivery of Unity Catalog governance capabilities. You will design secure, scalable, reliable software; mentor senior engineers; collaborate with product and infrastructure partners; and improve operational practices and customer experience.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems
- Track record of customer-focused initiatives and incremental delivery
- Computer science expertise in algorithms and data structures
- Leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience in data governance, security, privacy, identity management, authentication, or access control preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of high-impact governance projects
- Set standards for security, usability, performance, and scalability
- Mentor senior engineers and improve development and operational practices
- Own the Unity Catalog Governance product from concept through scalable delivery
- Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams on technical strategy and integration
- Drive reliable, high-quality, easy-to-operate software and operational processes
